Day Training Structure

  • Location: Dream Dogs Bermuda Dunes

  • Days: Monday-Friday for five days and Tuesday-Thursday for three day.

  • Time: Drop Off your dog between 8:30 and Pick Up between 3:00-5:00pm

  • Two supervised play sessions per day for social dogs.

  • Recess break from school adds a social dynamic to training that can help pups work on getting more confident and comfortable with other social dogs.

  • If your pup isn’t a social butterfly, our custom 1:1 training will continue with play breaks with the trainers.

  • All of our Day Training pups get worked multiple times a day by the Dream Dogs training team.

  • All pups are sent home each afternoon with a Dream Dogs Daily Progress Report so dog parents know how school is going.

  • At the end of each Day Training week, we set up parent/trainer conferences for each dog so owners know what to work on at home.

  • Service changes: We increased the number of days, extended our hours, and multiplied the fun to include 2 off leash group romp sessions for social dogs.

Whether you want your dog to walk on a loose leash or you need a full obedience package, we can custom tailor a program for you and your dog. Behaviors we work on include sit, sit/stay, down, down/stay, loose-leash walking, "come," and socialization. We can also help with elimination of common behavior problems such as jumping, digging, barking, selective listening, potty training, and boundaries.

“Lori solved a serious barking problem for us.  Rosie, our beloved Dalmatian was about seven.  We had moved to the desert full time, settled into our new home and a retirement life style- i.e., life had been full of changes. Rosie was barking at delivery trucks, door bells, strange noises, falling leaves just about anything that wasn’t there.  My husband wanted to get a shock collar.  I was reluctant but willing to acquiesce IF we found a trainer to supervise the process.  Enter Lori Wainio.  She heard our tale of woe, observed the two of us, Rose and her “sister”, a Springer Spaniel.  She quickly accesses the problem, explained the role each of us was playing in the barking drama and proceeded to help us reprogram.  We had four sessions with Lori (and NO shock collar).  The change was amazing.  Rose’s barking reduced by 80%.  She was proud of herself and we were proud of her!”
